[Gift Guide] Pioneer Square Gifts

We love supporting local businesses that make their home in Pioneer Square. Here are four great gift ideas – located less than 3 blocks in any direction from Impact Hub – that will support the local economy AND delight the gift recipient!

For the Chocolate Lover: Intrigue Chocolate’s new line of PNW-inspired chocolate bar flavors

Intrigue Chocolate has released a new line of six new chocolate bars with flavors inspired by moments and adventures in the Pacific Northwest. After 12 years of making chocolate ganache truffles, the team identified a few flavors that tend to get big responses – many of the ingredients are grown across the world but their flavors are familiar to this region.

Bars are available for purchase at the Intrigue Chocolate shop on Jackson, in between 2nd Ave S and Occidental!

We recommend the rosemary, blackberry, honey and alderwood smoked sea salt!

For the DIY’er: Drygoods Design sewing classes, fabrics and patterns

Drygoods Design is Pioneer Square’s own sewing shop, full of curated fabrics for apparel, home decor and quilting –  plus cards, gifts and more. They offers classes on sewing, for adults (and kids!), knitting, embroidery, open studio hours – check out their full list of classes here! In 2017, they expanded their shop into the neighboring storefront,  allowing them to increase their classes offerings and make room for new fabrics!
If you’ve got a crafter in your life – Drygoods is the best neighborhood shop to find the perfect gift and you can also purchase online and have your items shipped! Gift cards also available both in-store and online.

For the Fashionista: Fresh Tangerine’s carefully crafted jewelry

Fresh Tangerine’s Pioneer Square studio has been creating handcrafted jewelry that is delicate, easy to wear and approachable. Their mission is to create affordable long-lasting jewelry and to build a community that is kind and compassionate. The jewelry is made to be worn, loved and a part of your daily life. We love the stacking rings!

Visit them at 89 1/2 Yesler Way during their holiday pop-up shop hours (11-7pm) until December 31, and you can browse the collections online. Their gift guide is conveniently organized by price point, so you should be able to find something budget-friendly!

For the View: Smith Tower Rum Runners Club Membership

In 1914, Smith Tower became the first skyscraper in Seattle and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. From the observation deck, you can catch breathtaking panoramic views – and now, you can enjoy a cocktail while you do so! If you’re in the habit of giving experiences instead of gifts, consider the $99 Rum Runner’s membership:

  • Unlimited access to The Observatory, Legends of Smith Tower exhibits and thirty-fifth floor bar year-round
  • One complimentary guest per visit
  • 10% off all gifts and souvenirs
  • 10% off food
  • 10% off all beverages (yes, this includes alcohol!)
  • One celebratory cocktail of your choice during your birthday month (non-alcoholic beverages are acceptable too!)

Buy one card for $99 or get a gift for yourself at the same time and purchase 2 cards for $160!
