System Mapping – Seattle’s Social Innovation ecosystem for local government
Part of phase 1 of Impact Hub Seattle’s initiative to innovate Seattle’s social impact space, this session focuses specifically on how government navigates and understands our ecosystem. Read more about our initiative on our blog.
Our goal is to answer “why and where, despite all efforts and best intentions, do we experience limitations to create social impact in Seattle?”
In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn the basics of system-mapping (a tool from the design- and system thinking toolbox). Expect a hands on collaborative process that will be facilitated to ensure efficient use of time and a sharing of insights and opportunities. Take home the end result, which will be directly applicable to (innovation in) your organization.
For this particular workshop, we will focus on the public perspective. In other sessions (see here) we will focus on nonprofits, philanthropists, investors and corporates. Join for one of these sessions and get a free ticket into our final workshop, where we will jointly reflect on the outcomes of all separate sessions.
